The Shirley Conservation Commission will hold a public meeting in order to determine whether the work, described below, is subject to the Wetlands Protection Act (M.G.L. Chapter 131, Section 40) and the Shirley Non-Zoning Wetlands Bylaw. The work is located at Leominster Road (between Bow Brook and Morin Street). This application was filed by National Grid. This application is for work proposed within the 100-foot buffer zone of bordering vegetated wetland and bank and is within the 200-foot riverfront area of Bow Brook and Catacunemaug Brook. Said work involves replacement of a natural gas conduit within Leominster Road and entails excavation of an 18-inch trench within the pavement. The public meeting will be held at 8:15 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11, 2008, in the Town Offices at 7 Keady Way in Shirley. All interested parties are urged to attend.
