The Shirley Conservation Commission will hold a public hearing relative to a Notice of Intent filing under the Wetlands Protection Act (M.G.L. Chapter 131, Section 40) and the Shirley Wetlands Protection Bylaw. The work is located in the vicinity of 78 Walker Road (Map-Block-Parcels 29-A-1.1, 1.2, & 1.3). This application was filed by the Shirley Water District, owner of the property. This application is for a proposed extension of the town water line (originating at town well site) along the west side of Walker Road, with portions of work within the 100-foot buffer zone of bordering vegetated wetland, the 100-year floodplain, and the 200-foot river protection area. The public hearing will be held at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 14, 2007, in the Town Offices at 7 Keady Way in Shirley. All interested parties are urged to attend.
