The Shirley Conservation Commission will hold a public hearing relative to a Notice of Intent filing under the Wetlands Protection Act (M.G.L. Chapter 131, Section 40) and the Shirley Wetlands Protection Bylaw. The work is located east of Patterson Road (Map-Block-Parcel 29-A-1). This application was filed by Shirley Water District, owner of the property. This application is for installation of a water line connection (approx. 585") from a proposed water main associated with the Town pump station to a private residence, with portions of the work within the 100-foot buffer zone as well as bordering vegetated wetland, land under water, bank, and within the 200-foot river protection area. The public hearing will be held at 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 11, 2006, in the Town Offices at 7 Keady Way in Shirley. All interested parties are urged to attend.
