The Shirley Conservation Commission will hold a public hearing relative to a Notice of Intent filing under the Wetlands Protection Act (M.G.L. Chapter 131, Section 40) and the Shirley Non-Zoning Wetlands Bylaw. The work is located at the Hollingsworth & Vose dam in West Groton on the Squannacook River (Map-Block-Parcel 114-A-2). This application was filed by Hollingsworth & Vose, owner of the property. The work proposed is within the land under water and bank. This application is for the annual installation of boards across the top of the dam at the end of the spring runoff season and the annual removal of the boards in the fall. The public hearing will be held at 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 28, 2007, in the Town Offices at 7 Keady Way in Shirley. All interested parties are urged to attend.
