The Shirley Conservation Commission will hold a public meeting in order to determine whether the work, described below, is subject to the Wetlands Protection Act (M.G.L. Chapter 131, Section 40) and the Shirley Non-Zoning Wetlands Bylaw. The work is located between 122 and 148 Great Road within the State Highway Right of Way. This application was filed by the Shirley Water District; the owner of the property is MassHighway District 3. The proposed work will occur within the 200-foot riverfront area and outside the limit of the 100-foot buffer zone of bordering vegetated wetland on the south side of Great Road (the side opposite from the resource area), off of the paved surfaces. Said work involves installing a 12-inch water main, including four house services and one hydrant. The public meeting will be held at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 11, 2007, in the Town Offices at 7 Keady Way in Shirley. All interested parties are urged to attend.
