The Shirley Conservation Commission will hold a public meeting in order to determine whether the work, described below, is subject to the Wetlands Protection Act (M.G.L. Chapter 131, Section 40) and the Shirley Non-Zoning Wetlands Bylaw. The work is located at Leominster Road, from Catacunemaug Road to the Lunenburg town line. This application was filed by the Shirley Department of Public Works; the owner of the property is the Town of Shirley. Said work will involve reconstruction of Leominster Road, with all proposed construction activity within the existing roadway pavement limits. Work is proposed within the 100-foot buffer zone of bordering vegetated wetland and within the 200-foot riverfront area. The public meeting will be held at 8:15 p.m. on Tuesday, May 27, 2008, in the Town Offices at 7 Keady Way in Shirley. All interested parties are urged to attend.
