The Shirley Conservation Commission will hold a public hearing relative to a Notice of Intent filing under the Wetlands Protection Act (M.G.L. Chapter 131, Section 40) and the Shirley Wetlands Protection Bylaw. The work is located at Benjamin Road (Map-Block-Parcel 40-A-1.2 & 1.3). This application was filed by Benjamin Hill Park Committee; the owner of the property is the Town of Shirley. This application is for removal of select trees in the buffer zone of bordering vegetated wetland and replanting to control erosion, removal of invasive species and replanting with native species, and installation of two benches within the buffer zone. The public hearing will be held at 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 26, 2006, in the Town Offices at 7 Keady Way in Shirley. All interested parties are urged to attend.
