The Shirley Conservation Commission will hold a public meeting in order to determine whether the work, described below, is subject to the Wetlands Protection Act (M.G.L. Chapter 131, Section 40) and the Shirley Non-Zoning Wetlands Bylaw. The work is located at 6, 7, 8, 10, & 12 Oakes Landing. This application was filed by the Town of Lunenburg. The owners of the lots are Ron Marchetti, Craig Erban, David Gloski, Rob Marchetti and Carol O'Hern. This application is for work proposed within the 100-foot buffer zone of bordering vegetated wetland. Said work involves installing 800 linear feet of vegetated buffer between Lake Shirley and the developed portion along 4-12 Oakes Landing. The vegetated buffer would function as a storm water buffer strip as well as a goose buffer. The public meeting will be held at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 24, 2007, in the Town Offices at 7 Keady Way in Shirley. All interested parties are urged to attend.
