The Shirley Conservation Commission will hold a public meeting in order to determine whether the work, described below, is subject to the Wetlands Protection Act (M.G.L. Chapter 131, Section 40) and the Shirley Wetlands Protection Bylaw. The work is located at Lura A. White School, 34 Lancaster Road (Map-Block-Parcel 12-C-1). This application was filed by Mrs. Marcinkewicz's Fourth Grade Class; owner of the property is the Town of Shirley. This application is for work proposed within the 100-foot buffer zone of bordering vegetated wetland and bank. Said work involves taking out non-native invasive plant species, removing trash and sand, minor grading, and putting in two picnic tables. The public meeting will be held at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 24, 2006, in the Town Offices at 7 Keady Way in Shirley. All interested parties are urged to attend.
